Trip Overview

Heartland Pride Outfitters offers premier Western Nebraska Archery Mule Deer Hunts across more than 60,000 acres of private land in classic Nebraska mule deer country. These hunts take place across expansive pasture ground, agricultural fields, rolling hills, creek bottoms, and rugged Western terrain known for producing quality mule deer bucks.

Heartland Pride Outfitters has developed an effective spot-and-stalk hunting strategy that has been refined over years of hunting mule deer in Western Nebraska. Guides spend mornings glassing large expanses of country from strategic vantage points as the sun rises, locating target bucks and developing stalk plans to get hunters into effective shooting range. In certain situations, especially around patterned waterhole activity, ground blinds and brush blinds are also utilized to maximize opportunities.

These are fully guided 5-day archery mule deer hunts conducted in a 2 hunters to 1 guide (2x1) format. Hunts are offered in two different classifications:

  • Management Mule Deer Hunt — Bucks scoring up to 150”

  • Trophy Mule Deer Hunt — Bucks scoring over 150”

Nebraska archery deer season typically runs from September 1 through December 31, providing excellent opportunities during both early season feeding patterns and rut activity later in the year.

Nebraska deer permits may be available through statewide permits and draw allocations depending on residency status and permit type. Hunters are responsible for understanding Nebraska licensing requirements, deadlines, and applicable regulations prior to the hunt.
