Experience an exciting New Mexico archery elk hunt with Rancho Rojo Guides & Outfitters on carefully managed private ranch lands in Unit 5A. These hunts are conducted on private land only and include a guaranteed private land tag, eliminating the uncertainty of the draw process.

Hunters can expect classic September elk hunting, including spot-and-stalk opportunities, calling during the rut, and hunting areas known for strong elk numbers and quality bulls. The terrain ranges from rolling ranch country to timbered ridges and meadows, providing excellent elk habitat and exciting hunting opportunities.

Rancho Rojo operates on a limited number of hunters each season to maintain hunt quality and maximize opportunities. Bulls in the 260"-320" class are commonly encountered, with larger trophy potential always possible.

  • Caping, meat processing, and taxidermy are not included

  • Trophy retrieval from the field is included

  • Non-hunting guests may accompany hunters for an additional fee

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise specified by outfitter

  • Hunting success is not guaranteed

  • Hunters must comply with all state regulations and outfitter policies

  • A 10% guide gratuity is customary within the industry
