Experience one of the most exciting elk hunting opportunities New Mexico has to offer with this fully guided 5-day public land muzzleloader elk hunt. Conducted in renowned elk units 2A, 2B, 2C, 6A, 6B, 6C, and 7, these hunts place hunters in quality elk country during the highly anticipated October 10th–14th muzzleloader season.

Hunting takes place on National Forest and BLM lands where hunters pursue mature bulls using spot-and-stalk tactics, glassing, and calling when conditions allow. These units are well known for producing quality elk and offer a true Western hunting experience across a variety of terrain ranging from rolling foothills to rugged mountain country.

All hunts are conducted on a dedicated 1 hunter to 1 guide basis, providing personalized attention and maximizing hunting opportunities throughout the trip. Because these are public land draw hunts, hunters must successfully draw a New Mexico elk license. Rancho Rojo Guides & Outfitters can assist clients through New Mexico's Outfitter Draw Program, helping improve draw odds and simplify the application process.

Terms and Conditions:

Hunts are conducted on public lands and require successful draw results.
All hunts are conducted on a dedicated 1 hunter to 1 guide basis.
Available units include 2A, 2B, 2C, 6A, 6B, 6C, and 7.
Hunters may apply through New Mexico's Outfitter Draw Program, and Rancho Rojo can assist with applications and future draw planning.
Hunters are responsible for obtaining all required licenses, draw permits, taxes, and state fees.
Caping, meat processing, and taxidermy are not included.
Trophy retrieval from the field is included.
New Mexico muzzleloader hunters should verify current weapon regulations prior to the hunt. Current regulations require muzzleloaders to utilize open or iron sights during designated muzzleloader seasons, and scoped muzzleloaders are not permitted. Black powder or approved substitutes are required, while smokeless powder is prohibited.
Guide gratuities are customary and appreciated.
Hunters must comply with all New Mexico hunting regulations and outfitter policies.
