3-Day Kansas & Nebraska Turkey Hunt
Apr 11 - May 31
Norcatur, KS

Trip Overview
Springtime on the creek bottoms of Northwest Kansas and South Central Nebraska is where turkey hunters feel the pulse of the wild. Picture settling in at the base of a big cottonwood or tucked inside a Double Bull Blind as the first light breaks. A thundering gobble rolls from your right, another answers dead ahead, and a distant coyote howl signals that the woods are awake. In this part of the country, Rio Grande turkeys rule spring like royalty, with some Eastern and Merriam turkeys around as well.
Turkey hunts take place on thousands of acres of private land across Kansas and Nebraska, home to one of the highest densities of turkeys in the US. Both gun and archery hunts are available from mid-April through the end of May. Bow hunters can take advantage of the archery-only season kicking off in early April, when long beards often strut straight into decoys.
Each 3-day hunt gives hunters the opportunity to draw 1 bird in Kansas (Unit 1, draw-only tags) with an optional Nebraska bird if tags are available. When all Kansas tags in camp are filled, guides shift focus to optional Nebraska birds.
Starting in 2026, non-resident hunters booking Kansas deer, turkey, or Nebraska archery deer hunts will be strongly encouraged to hold at least 1 preference point due to increased difficulty in drawing tags.
Hunts are currently limited to 2 hunters per option, 16 total hunters per season, and 4 hunters max per week. Bookings close once 16 Kansas hunt spots are filled.
