Kansas archery whitetail tags for non-residents are issued through a draw system and must be applied for during the state’s application period, which typically runs in April. Hunters are responsible for submitting their application directly through Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks within the designated deadline.
The Kansas archery season opens September 15 and runs through December 31, giving hunters a long window to pursue mature whitetails across multiple phases of the season.
