Pursue the fourth-largest cat in the world across the rugged mountains of northern New Mexico while hunting with one of the state's most experienced and successful lion outfitters.
Hunts take place in the breathtaking Sangre de Cristo Mountains on a combination of private and public land, where healthy lion populations and ideal habitat create exceptional hunting opportunities. Sierra Blanca Outfitters utilizes experienced hounds to locate and trail mountain lions, allowing hunters an ethical opportunity once a lion has been treed or safely positioned. Depending on weather and snow conditions, transportation during the hunt may include pickup trucks, ATVs, or snowmobiles to efficiently cover country and follow hounds.
Whether you prefer hunting with a rifle, handgun, or archery equipment, Sierra Blanca Outfitters offers a true fair chase experience tailored to your preferred hunting style. While mountain lions may be pursued throughout the season, late January is widely considered the prime time to hunt New Mexico lions due to favorable tracking conditions and exceptional success rates.
These hunts are offered as five consecutive hunting days, with additional hunting days available if needed.

Standard package includes five consecutive hunting days.
Additional hunting days may be added for an additional daily fee.
Mountain lion licenses and tags are available over the counter, subject to current New Mexico regulations.
Hunts take place on a combination of private and public land in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Hunters may use rifles, handguns, or archery equipment in accordance with New Mexico regulations.
Transportation to New Mexico, taxidermy, meat processing, shipping, hunting licenses, and guide gratuities are not included unless otherwise specified.
Deposits are required to reserve hunt dates.
Due to high demand, early booking is strongly encouraged, particularly for late January dates.
