Hunts take place throughout the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on a combination of carefully selected private and public lands. Sierra Blanca Outfitters offers multiple hunting methods to match your preferred style, including spot-and-stalk hunting, sitting over water sources or apple orchards, and hound-assisted hunts where regulations and conditions allow.
Archery hunters can take advantage of the early season, while rifle hunters enjoy opportunities later in the fall. Every hunt is conducted as a fair chase experience and is customized to provide the best opportunity for success based on weather conditions, food sources, and bear activity.

Standard hunt length is five days.
Archery hunts are available during the last two weeks of August and the last week of September.
Rifle hunts are available during the first two weeks of October.
Hunts take place on a combination of private and public land throughout the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Public land bear hunts require participation in the New Mexico draw system.
New Mexico hunting license is available over the counter. Hunters are responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits.
Transportation to New Mexico, taxidermy, meat processing, meat shipping, and guide gratuities are not included unless otherwise specified.
Deposits are required to reserve hunting dates.
Hunt dates are subject to New Mexico regulations and availability.
