Hunts take place across carefully scouted private and public properties where experienced guides position hunters on productive feeds, flooded fields, marshes, and agricultural areas based on current bird movement and conditions.

Hunters can enjoy a variety of setups throughout the season, from intimate decoy spreads targeting mallards and pintails to hunting over 2,000-3,000 decoy spreads on large water for exciting mixed-bag shoots. With access to multiple blind locations on Catahoula Lake, cypress brakes, flooded timber, marshes, and agricultural fields, guides are able to adapt to changing weather and migration patterns to consistently put hunters where the birds want to be.

1st Split: November 21 – December 6, 2026
2nd Split: December 19, 2026 – January 31, 2027
To make the most of your stay, Full Strap & Stringer also offers optional Blast & Cast packages, allowing hunters to enjoy an afternoon of guided crappie fishing on nearby Larto Lake after the morning hunt. For those looking for even more excitement, night thermal hog and predator hunts are also available. These optional add-ons are a great way to turn your waterfowl trip into a complete Louisiana outdoor adventure.

Check-in begins after 4:00 PM CT.
Dinner is served at 6:00 PM CT.
Guests should check out by 1:00 PM CT on departure day.
Groups of three or more hunters are guaranteed a private blind.
No minimum group size is required to book.
Well-trained retrievers are welcome.
Hunt packages can be customized for individuals, families, and corporate groups.
Hunters are responsible for Louisiana hunting licenses, federal duck stamp, state waterfowl permits, ammunition, and guide gratuities.
