Kansas archery whitetail tags for non-residents are issued through a draw system and must be applied for during the state’s application period, which typically runs in April. Hunters are responsible for submitting their application directly through Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks within the designated deadline.
The Kansas archery season opens September. This regular season window is ideal for hunters who want consistent deer movement, lower pressure compared to peak periods, and the opportunity to hunt bucks that are settling into reliable fall patterns. You’ll be hunting proven stand locations across diverse habitat that includes river bottoms, timber, food plots, and travel corridors, all designed and managed to hold and grow mature whitetails.

A rebooking fee of up to 20% may apply for rescheduled hunts
