Trip Overview

Experience one of the Midwest's premier whitetail destinations with a fully guided Iowa Zone 5 archery hunt at Monster Whitetail Outfitters. Hunting takes place across approximately 11,700 acres of carefully managed free-range private land in Iowa's renowned Zone 5, an area known for producing mature, trophy-class whitetails year after year.

Monster Whitetail Outfitters has built its reputation by keeping hunting pressure low, intensively managing habitat, utilizing extensive trail camera programs, and allowing bucks to reach maturity. Hunters pursue free-range whitetails from Millennium ladder stands, hang-on stands, and enclosed 360 blinds positioned around agricultural fields, food plots, travel corridors, bedding areas, and natural funnels.

Every hunt includes comfortable lodging, home-cooked meals, daily transportation to and from the stand, and guidance from experienced hunters who scout the properties year-round. If you're looking for a professionally managed, low-pressure hunt with legitimate trophy potential, Monster Whitetail Outfitters offers one of the finest free-range whitetail experiences in Iowa.

Monster Whitetail Outfitters maintains strict harvest standards to preserve trophy quality. Most Iowa properties have a 140-inch gross minimum, while their premier farms carry a 150-inch minimum (140-inch minimum on 8-pointers). Bucks harvested below the property's minimum are subject to a graduated penalty of $200 per inch below the minimum, up to a maximum penalty of $1,200.

Application & Draw Notice: Iowa archery hunts are subject to the Iowa nonresident deer application and draw process. These hunts take place in Zone 5, one of Iowa's most sought-after units, which has historically required approximately 5 preference points for most nonresident hunters to draw an archery tag. Please consult the Iowa DNR for current application deadlines and preference point requirements, or contact Monster Whitetail Outfitters for assistance with the application process.

Reserve your future Iowa hunt with confidence. Because Iowa nonresident tags are awarded through a preference point draw, many hunters book their hunt years in advance while building the points needed to draw. By placing your deposit, you'll lock in your hunt price at today's rate, protecting you from future price increases while you wait to draw your tag. Once your tag is drawn, you'll return to hunt at the rate you originally secured.

2026 Availability Update: The November 7–11, 2026 Iowa Zone 5 Archery Hunt is fully booked. Contact us to secure a future hunt while building preference points or to discuss other available dates.
