Ohio’s shotgun season for 2026 includes two excellent windows: November 30 through December 6, and the additional late-season dates of December 19 and 20. This period offers classic late-fall hunting conditions when deer are focused on food sources, travel corridors, and bedding areas, making movement more predictable for hunters willing to put in the time in the stand. Mature bucks and big doe groups tend to move during extended daylight hours in this part of the season, creating outstanding shotgun opportunities over food, funnels, and pinch points.
