5-Day Illinois Archery Peak-Rut Deer Hunt
Dates: Oct 24 - Nov 11
Location: Clayton, IL (Pike, Brown, Adams, and Schuyler counties)
Game: Deer

Trip Overview
The peak rut hunt is one of the most exciting times of the season to hunt in Illinois. During this window, mature bucks are actively searching for does and covering significant ground during daylight hours, creating excellent opportunities for hunters positioned in high-traffic travel corridors.
Golden Triangle Whitetails hunts take place across 14,000 acres of exclusive hunting property, carefully managed for mature bucks and low hunting pressure. The properties include extensive hardwood timber, agricultural fields, and more than 300 acres of food plots, providing ideal habitat for mature whitetails.
With hundreds of established stand locations and experienced guides who know each property intimately, hunters are positioned in areas where rutting activity and buck movement are most likely to occur.
Peak rut archery hunts are available during three prime five-day windows: October 24–28, October 31–November 4, and November 7–11, offering excellent opportunities to hunt mature bucks during the most active phase of the Illinois rut.
Over the past 11 years alone, Golden Triangle Whitetails hunters have harvested hundreds of bucks scoring over 150 inches, including 91 Boone & Crockett whitetails. These results are a direct reflection of the strict land management, low hunting pressure, and carefully managed habitat that consistently produce opportunities at truly mature Illinois bucks.
