Join master Maine guide Hal Blood and the Big Woods Outfitters team for a 6-day rifle deer hunt deep in the untamed forests of northern Maine. This is big woods hunting at its finest — vast, remote, and unforgiving terrain where mature whitetails roam on their own terms.

This hunt is conducted primarily through spot-and-stalk/tracking techniques, covering miles of wilderness on foot each day. Hunters should arrive in good physical condition, as you'll be navigating dense forest, uneven ground, and potentially harsh late-season weather. Hunters will be based out of Tapps Restaurant & Maple Inn, just 1 mile north of Jackman in Moose River — a comfortable and welcoming home base after long days on the mountain.
