Big Woods Outfitters is run by master Maine guide Hal Blood, one of the state's foremost outfitters. Hal began his guiding career in the late '80s, building 25 years of unmatched success before stepping away to hunt on his own terms and complete a five-year stint with Remington Arms testing new firearms in the field. Now he's back where he belongs — the big woods of northern Maine. Hal is joined by a hand-picked team of experienced Maine guides, all specialists in big woods whitetails. Together they offer deer, moose, and bear hunts, plus Hal's renowned deer hunting clinics. Big Woods Outfitters is based just 1 mile north of Jackman in Moose River at Tapps Restaurant & Maple Inn.
