Trip Overview
Experience premier Southern whitetail hunting at historic Whetstone Plantation in Autauga County, Alabama. These fully guided rifle deer hunts take place across a carefully managed landscape of croplands, pastures, mature timber, food plots, and natural wildlife habitat designed to support healthy deer populations and quality hunting opportunities.
Whetstone Plantation limits hunting pressure to just 8–10 hunters per day, ensuring a quality hunting experience and access to a well-managed hunting property. Hunters can expect productive stand locations, excellent habitat management, and the Southern hospitality that has made Whetstone Plantation a destination for hunters from across the country.
Hunters may choose between two prime hunting periods:
Pre-Rut Hunts
November 22 – December 23
Rut Hunts
December 26 – February 10
A minimum 3-day hunt is required.
The following dates are currently available for this season and fall/winteer during the prime rut, making them some of the best opportunities to hunt Alabama bucks.

January 28-31 or February 1 | 3-4 Day Hunt
February 4-7 or February 8 | 3-4 Day Hunt

Hunters must possess all required Alabama hunting licenses and permits
Guide gratuities are not included and are appreciated
Hunting success is not guaranteed
Hunters must comply with all Alabama hunting regulations and plantation rules
